This Privacy Policy explains how AW Consumer Group LTD ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Roadwork mobile application ("the app"). We are the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law.
Information we collect
We collect the following information to provide and improve the app:
- Account information — your email address and the name or nickname you provide when you sign up.
- Training profile — details you enter such as your discipline, experience level, goals, age, height, weight, and available training days.
- Training and activity data — workouts, combos, timers, sessions, schedules, and progress you record in the app.
- Diet and nutrition data — food entries, nutrition goals, and photos of meals you choose to submit for nutritional analysis.
- Location data — GPS route data during cardio sessions, collected only with your explicit permission and only while you are using that feature. You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings.
- Subscription data — your subscription status, plan, and renewal information, processed through Apple and our subscription provider.
- Device and diagnostic data — device type, operating system, app version, and anonymous crash and performance logs used to fix bugs and improve stability.
How we use your information
- To provide, personalise, and improve the Roadwork app and its features.
- To generate training plans, coaching responses, and nutrition analysis based on the information you provide.
- To process and manage your subscription.
- To send you notifications relevant to your training, where you have enabled them. You can turn these off at any time.
- To diagnose technical problems and improve performance.
- To respond to your support requests.
AI features
Some features — such as the AI coach and food photo nutrition analysis — work by sending the relevant input you provide (for example, your message to the coach, or a photo of a meal) to trusted third-party AI service providers in order to generate a response. This data is processed to provide the feature you requested and is not used to advertise to you.
How your data is stored and shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the trusted service providers that make the app work, each acting under appropriate data protection terms:
- Supabase — secure database hosting and authentication.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Apple — payment processing for in-app purchases.
- PostHog — privacy-conscious product analytics.
- Third-party AI providers — to power the AI coach and food photo analysis features described above.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your data with advertisers.
- We do not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your account and associated personal data.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app, or by emailing us. To exercise any other right, contact us at the email below and we will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your associated personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records (for example, transaction records) to comply with legal obligations.
Children
Roadwork is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the latest version, and we will notify you of material changes within the app.
